Coral Reefs
The coral reefs are an interseting place in the ocean. The pictures of them are awesome to look at. The “rainforests of the ocean,” coral reefs are hotspots that make up less than 1% of the marine environment but are home to 25 percent of the ocean’s life. Coral reefs are mostly found in clear, shallow, warm waters where sunlight can be seen and provide nutrients to the algae that sustains coral. Beside their stunning beauty and rich marine life, coral reefs provide protection to coastal communities from hurricanes. There are a bunch of other cool facts of coral reefs.
